Good investigating reporting

Great reporting. Isn't this the same property where we were initially concerned about an ICE facility? 😕

No, that’s a different property about a mile away. But the pattern is starting to look painfully familiar. Washington County residents keep finding out about major development projects after the fact, while the Commissioners operate behind closed doors, sign NDAs, and leave the public to piece together what is happening from records, leaks, and outside reporting.

At some point, this stops looking like simple incompetence and starts looking like a governing philosophy: protect the deals, protect the relationships, protect themselves, and tell the people they represent as little as possible. The Commissioners were elected to put Washington County residents first. Instead, they continue acting like the public is an obstacle to be managed while their own political and personal interests come first.

They are acting like POTUS and crew. We will do as we please. Try & stop us. Washington county will be uglier and unlivable soon. The warehouses are already a blight on the landscape. Adding the detention center and a data center will be the icing in the cake. Who will want to live there? They need to get voted out before this goes any further.

Why the firk are local government officials allowed to sign NDAs with respect to government business? How much were they personally paid?
